And it irritates me that something which worked before now doesn’t work. The past few times that I have un-installed it, it never installs properly again, hence I have totally stopped using it. The best thing to do is un-install it then go and find all fragments in the registry maybe better to use a Registry cleaner then try a fresh install. Hik’s PC software and apps are not very well written.
They have a habit of totally re-designing software or issuing updates that look new, but still use bits of the old version.
Thanks for the suggestion, I have done that already – twice in fact, and it was installed onto a fresh Windows installation after Windows Update had finished doing what it does. I hear what you’re saying about IVMS , but it worked for 18 months without issue before I had to nuke my C: and start again.
I’m happy with how the software performs overall, just got to get this little issue solved. I had the same issues. I used it for years and in the end have given up altogether.
