Instead of trying to teach users keyboard shortcuts and how to find hidden menu options, we would like to just put an easy shortcut link on their desktop to search for wireless displays. We would like clicking on the desktop shortcut to do the same thing as clicking on the link below:.

That option will only work for devices that support Intel WiDi or miracast so putting a shortcut on all desktops may not be fruitful. Showing or documenting how to press the windows key and P is hardly something a user couldn’t learn though.
